ChronoroboticsLong-term autonomy through understanding of time. A typical robot map is a frozen snapshot. Chronorobotics adds time to it, not as a linear clock but as the rhythms of the place: daily routines, weekly cycles, seasons. A robot that knows them can forecast how its world will look, and keep working in it for months. Part of the Department of Computer Science, FEE, Czech Technical University in Prague, led by doc. Tomáš Krajník.

I build robots that leave the lab and keep working in the real world: outdoors, for months, through changing light, weather and seasons. My Visual Teach and Generalize papers take teach-and-repeat navigation to places like farms and orchards, where every row looks alike. I'm also a core member of the team on four European projects where robots and computer vision meet biology and farming: tracking the honeybee queen through the colony, following individual workers, bringing wild pollinators back into crop farming, and building lightweight robots for sustainable agriculture. On the industrial side, I work on ROBOPROX, the Czech flagship project in robotics, and I contributed to RCI, CTU's Research Center for Informatics.
Micro-robots that care for the honeybee queen: following her through the colony and studying how to support her egg-laying.
★ Sustainability Leadership Recognition · ERF 2026Honeybee colonies as living sensors of the landscape, read out by a robot that images the brood comb cell by cell.
★ Sustainability Leadership Recognition · ERF 2026Wild bees for nature-friendly crop pollination, with computer vision and robotics brought to the field.
AI tools and lightweight farm robots that build on traditional farming practices for precise, chemical-free crop care.
Robotics and advanced industrial production: autonomous robots that work safely alongside people.
Research Center for Informatics: CTU's centre of excellence in AI, machine learning, computer vision and robotics.
competitions · field trials
Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge, with the CTU–UPenn–NYU team: overall winner, and first in cooperative wall building. I co-developed the team's ground robot, a mobile manipulator that found, grasped and placed bricks on its own.
Competed with autonomous ground robots in Switzerland, in June 2026: reconnaissance, convoy, transport and search-and-rescue scenarios.
